Opening & Applications
When is OSL opening?
OSL is opening in Summer 2026. We’ll be sharing an official opening date very soon, so make sure you’re on our waitlist to be the first to know. Follow us on Instagram or Tiktok at @originalstudentliving for updates, announcements and behind-the-scenes content.
How do students apply?
Applications will be completed through our official letting partner, Hackett Property. Students who have joined the waitlist will be contacted first and given priority access.
Is booking first come, first served?
Priority will be given to students who have joined the waitlist. Further allocation details will be confirmed closer to applications opening via our lettings partner Hackett Property

Is there a gym or wellness space?
Yes. Residents will have access to an onsite gym facility which includes:
- Full set of dumbells 5-30kg
- Bench
- 4 Post lifting rack
- Olympic lifting bar and plates
- Kettlebells
- Exercise bands
- Exercise bike
- Yoga/Pilates Zone
Do the studios have laundry facilities?
Yes. Every OSL studio comes with an integrated washer/dryer, giving residents the convenience of having laundry facilities within their own private space. Unlike many purpose-built student accommodations that rely on shared, paid laundry rooms, OSL offers an independent and comfortable living experience.
What communal spaces are available at OSL?
Alongside your own private, self-contained studio, residents have access to welcoming communal spaces designed for socialising, relaxing and studying. OSL features a large shared kitchen, comfortable lounge and collaborative study space, providing the perfect balance between privacy when you need it and opportunities to connect with other residents.
Are there study spaces?
Yes. Every studio includes its own dedicated study area with a desk, providing a comfortable space to focus. There is also a communal area, ideal for group study sessions, collaborative working and catching up with friends.
Is there bike storage?
Yes. OSL includes in-building bike storage for residents.
Are overnight guests allowed?
Occasional overnight guests are permitted, provided this does not breach the terms of your Licence Agreement or result in an additional person residing in the accommodation. You are responsible for your guests and must ensure they comply with the building rules and do not cause disturbance to other residents.
Who can students contact if they need support?
Students can contact Hackett Property, our managing agent, if they need support during their stay OSL@hackettproperty.com . For maintenance issues, residents can report repairs quickly and easily through our 24/7 online reporting platform, as well as the management office located nearby, with an emergency repairs helpline also available outside of office hours for urgent maintenance issues. Our friendly staff are all Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trained, enabling them to provide initial support, guidance, and signposting to appropriate services where needed.

Rooms & Living Arrangements
Can students request to live near their friends?
Yes. Whilst we can’t guarantee exact placements, we’ll always do our best to allocate friends in close proximity where possible.
Is there an option to choose a specific room?
Room preferences may be available, subject to availability. More information will be shared when applications open.
Are mature-age and postgraduate students able to apply?
Yes. OSL welcomes full time students from all stages of university life.
Can international students apply?
Absolutely. OSL welcomes both domestic and international students. Our property management team at Hackett Property includes multilingual staff, helping to ensure a smooth and supportive experience for students from around the world.
Pricing & Payments
How much do the studios cost?
Studio’s are priced at £180-£260 (depending on specification and room type) which includes utility bills and high speed internet.
What is included in the price?
Your OSL experience includes:
- Fully furnished studio

Each apartment comes fully furnished and includes:
